Versions 0.8.14+:
- Download the game (2dcraft.weebly.com/download.html) if you have not
- Open 2DCraft from the hamarb123 Store
- Click the make a mod button
- (Optional) Type in a developer name
- Click create new project
- Save the file with a new name
Mod creation steps:
- Go to the resources tab
- Click add new resource and select a file, this will only create a link, so do not delete the original but if you change it, it will update next time you run/export the mod
- Give it a name that is allowed
- Repeat steps 2, 3 until you have added all the resources you require
- Go to the blocks tab
- Click add new block and give it an allowed name
- Select that block and then click edit block
- Set resource name to one of the names of the resource (will use that texture)
- Set display name to what you want it to be called in the inventory
- Set other options if you want
- Click x
- Repeat steps 6 - 11 until you have added all the blocks you require
- If you want to do an advanced build go to those instructions now
- Otherwise, Click run and test it in a test world
- If you are happy continue, if not go back and change options
- Click set version and type in a number in the form x.y or x.y.z or x.y.z.w
- Click export and save the dll file somewhere
Allowed names:
- You must use a letter as the first character.
- You can't use a space, period ( . ), exclamation mark ( ! ), or the characters @, &;, $, # in the name.
- Name can't exceed 255 characters in length.
- Must not be the same as another name of a variable in the same tab
- If it has errors change the name
Advanced building:
- Click advanced button to enable advanced options
- Click build
- Now you can change the code
- Now you're done changing the code, click just build and run to open it
- If you are happy continue, if not go back to step 3
- Copy the dll from the mods folder to export
